An advisor in your corner

Value your time. Elevate the trip.

A travel advisor for the trips worth getting right.

Europe, and far beyond.

Europe by land, river, and sea; destination hotels and resort stays; cruises and small-ship voyages; and adventure travel to farther corners of the world.

Better trips, with the right amount of help.

I help you get more from every trip, at the level of support that meets your needs. It could be a single hotel booked with the right perks, a digital itinerary we build together, or a milestone adventure I design down to the day. You choose the level of service that makes sense for each trip.

01

Essential

Booked & looked after

I recommend and book your hotels, secure preferred rates and perks, and stay in your corner if anything needs sorting. The same goes for a cruise or multiday guided tour.

A good fit if you want expert advice and booking with benefits at no additional cost.
02

Essential Plus

Everything in one place

Everything in Essential, plus a shortlist of recommended tours or activities, transfers booked, and your whole trip gathered into one comprehensive digital itinerary you can pull up on your phone, even when offline.

A good fit if you want my recommendations for both hotels and activities, and one digital home for all the details, but enjoy planning your own day-to-day and managing some logistics independently.
03

Full Service

Designed & run for you

A trip I design day by day, with in-destination support and my advocacy throughout.

A good fit if you’re investing meaningfully in a trip and want it fully handled with every day mapped out and more support on hand while you travel.

Wait, what does a travel advisor do these days?

More than you might think.

Why book with an advisor

Services

Three ways to work together.

Travelers need different things. Some want every detail planned in advance; others want expert booking and the freedom to roam. All of my services include recommendations you can trust, so you skip the hours of sorting through reviews. If you’re not sure which service level works for your trip, we can talk through the options on our first call.

Essential

I recommend and book your hotels and manage the details, so you get preferred rates, perks, and an advocate. The same applies to a cruise or multiday tour you would like help selecting and booking.

  • Personalized hotel, cruise, or multiday tour recommendations, then I handle the booking
  • Preferred-partner rates and perks where available, such as upgrades, credits, breakfast, early check-in, or late check-out
  • Ongoing support for changes and special requests

No fee for Essential. I’m compensated by the hotels and partners I book, so this service is complimentary to you.

A good fit if you want trustworthy booking with real benefits, but prefer to book and manage other aspects of the trip yourself.

Essential Plus

Everything in Essential, plus more of my expertise on your destination. You’ll get a shortlist of suggested tours and activities, hotel transfers arranged if you’d like, and one polished digital itinerary so you can keep track of everything in one place.

  • A menu of activities I'd recommend in each destination, with the context to choose well
  • Hotel transfers arranged, if you'd like
  • One digital itinerary holding everything: your bookings and anything you book yourself and send me

A planning fee applies to Essential Plus, starting at $200. I’ll confirm the fee for your specific trip before any work begins, so you can decide if it’s worth the upgrade. Essential Plus service is complimentary when I’m also booking your cruise or multiday tour.

A good fit if you want my read on the destination and one tidy digital home for the whole trip, while keeping the days yours to shape.

Full Service

For the big trips: a safari, a complex multi-country itinerary, or a milestone celebration with every detail handled in advance so the trip runs effortlessly. After a conversation about your priorities, I build a custom trip just for you, including booking hotels, transportation, tours and activities, so you have a complete day-by-day plan to look forward to before you depart. While you travel, you have support on the ground in real time, and my advocacy from start to finish.

  • A custom, day-by-day itinerary designed with your preferences and needs in mind
  • Hotels, guides, transport, and dining coordinated for one seamless trip
  • On-the-ground support throughout, so help is close at hand if anything comes up while you travel

Full Service is only available when a trip budget supports this level of service and coordination; the amount required varies by destination and travel period, and is something we can discuss on a discovery call. A small engagement fee may be required for me to begin the design work.

A good fit if you want a higher level of service and a fully planned itinerary, especially somewhere in-destination support makes the difference.

If you have an exact hotel, cruise, or tour in mind, I can book it for you.

You get the same rate you would find on your own, sometimes better, plus perks and an advocate, at no cost to you. No need for a call; just send the details.

Not sure which fits? We can talk it through.

On a discovery call, you can tell me about the trip you're imagining. We'll explore the ways I could help, with no pressure and no fee for the conversation.

Why book with an advisor

The internet gives you everything. That’s the problem.

A hundred options, a thousand reviews, and no way to know which ones are written for someone like you. What an advisor adds is judgment, relationships, and someone in your corner when plans go sideways.

  • 01Chosen with judgment, not crowdsourced.
You get recommendations shaped by real knowledge and a sense of what suits you, instead of an average of strangers' opinions or whatever the algorithm or AI thinks you want to see that day.
  • 02Perks you can’t get yourself.
Through preferred partnerships, the same hotels, cruises, or tours often come with upgrades, credits, and amenities, at the same rate, or better.
  • 03An advocate when something goes sideways.
Flights move, hotels overbook, plans change. You have someone whose job is to help make it right.
  • 04Your time back.
The hours you would spend comparing and second-guessing become hours you spend looking forward to the trip.

Ready when you are.

A short conversation can help us understand whether we are a good fit, and the kind of help your trip needs.

See the ways to work together

Before we begin

The questions I hear most.

Much of what I do, like recommending and booking hotels, cruises, and tours, is available at no additional cost to you. My Essential Plus service has a planning fee to cover the personalized research and recommendations for in-destination activities and the creation of a trip-specific digital itinerary, though I waive this fee for cruise and multiday tour clients. For Full Service, a small engagement fee may be required to begin the custom daily itinerary design work. Finally, fees may apply for flight booking, trips involving large groups, or any rush requests. Before I begin work, I’ll provide a full outline of any fees, so you can decide if you’d like to proceed.

If you’re not sure, we can figure it out together on our discovery call. You’ll tell me about the trip you are imagining and your travel style, and I can point you to the right fit. After the call, I'll share a short guide explaining more detail about how that level works before we move forward, so there are no surprises. Some of my clients use the same service for each trip; others may find Essential sufficient for a quick getaway, but appreciate Full Service for others.

Yes, through my host agency’s flight desk, which includes a 24-hour phone line to help you through delays and disruptions without needing to wait on hold with the airline. A $75/per person ticketing fee applies if you’d like me to book flights for your trip.

Yes, but it’s important to know that platforms like Airbnb and VRBO don’t work with travel advisors, which means I can’t vet those properties or advocate for you if something goes wrong, and the same is true of most US rental agencies in places like Cape Cod or Maine. Depending on the inventory available in a destination, you may be better off booking directly through one of those platforms, and I’ll be honest with you if that’s the case. That said, many destinations have aparthotels or vetted rental properties that I can confidently recommend and book, and I have local partners in several destinations who can arrange villa rentals with dedicated support like chefs, housekeeping, and other amenities. If you’re not sure, just ask!

Unfortunately I am not able to book hotels or flights with credit card, hotel or airline points for clients, since those bookings have to go directly through the rewards program. That said, points and my services can pair well: many of my clients use points for flights and book their hotels through me. I am an avid points collector, and if you’re considering using points for all or part of a trip, I’m happy to talk about that on a discovery call and share my advice about whether my services can combine with your points redemption plans.

Sometimes! Just forward your booking confirmation to jen@jenniferellistravel.com and I’ll check whether perks can be applied or a better rate secured. The chances are highest if you contact me soon after booking, before the trip is fully paid.

The earlier the better. More lead time means better availability and rates, and generally a better experience. Simpler bookings can come together quickly; fully designed trips need more runway. If your trip is close in, contact me and I will be honest about what is possible. In some cases, a rush fee may apply, which I’ll disclose before proceeding.

I specialize in Europe by land, river, and sea, destination hotels and resort stays, cruises and small-ship voyages, and adventure travel to farther corners of the world. Europe trips might be a river cruise through France, ten days in Greece, or a multi-city trip through Italy; the resort stays might be in Napa, the Caribbean, or New England; the adventure travel could be a safari, the Galápagos, or Alaska. Most of my clients are couples, though I also love planning for groups of friends, families, and multigenerational celebrations.

About

Hello, I'm Jen.

I came to travel advising from law and higher education, two fields that taught me to ask the right questions and care deeply about details. (Travel details are much more fun, most of the time.) As a mom of two, I also keenly understand the extra considerations when traveling with kids, and the difference careful planning can make. I'm a firm believer that time spent exploring the world together is never wasted, and the most rewarding part of my work is helping clients take trips that would otherwise have been put off for “someday.”

Consultative by nature, thorough by training.

Travel is a real investment, and I don't take my clients' trust lightly. I focus on understanding what you want from a trip, lean on relationships built with hotels and partners I trust, and stay on top of the details from first call to welcome home. I travel often myself and love finding the best the world has to offer for my clients.

Let's plan something memorable.

Tell me about the trip you have in mind. The first conversation is always complimentary.
