What kind of travel do you specialize in?
I specialize in crafting personalized travel experiences for individuals, couples, friends, and families, focusing on destinations in Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean, Florida, and the Northeast US. While these are my areas of expertise, I can assist with a wide range of travel needs. Through Fora's extensive network, I have access to resources and partnerships to plan incredible trips to almost any destination worldwide.
Do I need to book all components of a trip with you?
Not at all! You can book all or just part of your trip through me. Many clients appreciate the convenience of full-service trip planning, while others simply want to leverage my access to hotel perks. Whatever your preference, I'm happy to help.
Do you charge a planning fee?
No, I do not charge a separate planning fee. My services are typically compensated through commissions from hotels, airlines, and other travel suppliers. This means you often pay the same price (or sometimes even less!) as booking directly, but with the added benefit of my expertise, support, and access to exclusive perks.
Do you book flights?
While I can advise on flight options and help you find the best deals, it's normally more efficient and cost-effective for clients to book flights directly through the airline. This gives you greater control over seat selection, frequent flyer programs, and any potential changes or cancellations. Airlines don't offer commissions on flight bookings and don't give any preferential treatment to flights booked by travel agents, so most agents won’t book flights. An exception where I would book flights is if you’re booking a package flight/hotel deal through a consolidator. During the full service trip planning process, I'm happy to suggest flights and ensure they align perfectly with your overall itinerary.
How far in advance should I contact you?
The earlier, the better, especially for complex itineraries or popular travel periods. This allows ample time for research, planning, and securing the best deals. However, I also understand that travel plans can come together quickly, and I do my best to accommodate last-minute requests.
What if I need to change or cancel my trip?
It’s important to notify me as soon as possible if you need to change your plans or cancel a trip. I do not charge any separate change or cancellation fees, but you’ll be subject to hotels’ or other suppliers’ cancellation policies. When you book, I’ll always clearly note cancellation policies, so you can plan accordingly. I also recommend all clients consider purchasing travel insurance.
